BMC旗下期刊Biotechnology for Biofuels成立十周年了！从初创刊年发表的18篇文章到2018年的311篇， Biotechnology for Biofuels的发展十分迅猛，五年影响因子6.66和近百万篇文章的下载量正是强有力的佐证。
作为第一个致力于生物燃料研究的开放获取期刊，它通过服务于生物燃料领域的研究者，迅速成为利用木质纤维素（木质）生产下一代燃料的科学家们的首选期刊。在2016年，Biotechnology for Biofuels将期刊覆盖领域扩大到基于生物的化学品研究方向，契合了该领域的市场增长需求。
